Season planning
See the whole season on one calendar: what you've already run, what's coming, and where the gaps are.
Give a session a date
A session can carry the date you plan to run it. Set it in three places, whichever suits:
- When you create it — the Training date field on the new session form, which starts on today’s date. Clear it to leave the session undated.
- From the session itself — the calendar button beside Rename at the top of a saved session.
- From the planner — see below.
The date is a day, not a time. Two sessions can share a date, which is what a summer camp or a Cúl Camp looks like: a morning and an afternoon session on each day of the week.
Open the planner
Go to your sessions and switch from List to Calendar. You’ll get the current month, with every dated session on the day it belongs to. Use the arrows to move between months, or Today to come back.
Selecting a session opens it, exactly as it would from the list. On a phone the month is shown as a list by date instead of a grid, so nothing is squeezed into seven columns.
Move a session
There are two ways, and they do the same thing:
- Drag it to another day. On a tablet, press and hold the session for a moment first, so an ordinary tap still opens it. Dragging needs the month grid, so it isn’t available on a phone, where the calendar is a list by date.
- Use the date button on the session to pick a day. This works everywhere, including on a phone and with a keyboard.
Start a session on a given day
Selecting an empty part of a day starts a new session with that date already filled in, which saves setting the date afterwards for every day of a camp week.
Sessions with no date
Undated sessions gather in Unscheduled, below the calendar. Drag one onto a day to schedule it, or drag a dated session back into the tray to clear its date. Nothing is deleted either way.
Sessions you saved before the planner existed all start here. Each one offers Use created date, and there is a single button to do the lot at once, which places every undated session on the day it was created. That is the same date the session name was built from, so it is usually the day you had in mind. Move any of them afterwards if it isn’t.
Narrow it down
Filter the month by sport and by age group to look at one squad at a time. The filters apply to the Unscheduled tray as well, so it stays in step with the calendar.
With Coach
- The season planner — dating a session and the calendar view are part of Coach. On the free plan the Calendar tab is still there, and shows what it does.
- Unlimited saved sessions — a season’s worth of plans, rather than the five the free plan keeps. A calendar is not much use with five sessions on it.
